Buckeyes Against Hazing
National Hazing Prevention Week is officially held from September 23 - 27, where many universities across the country including Ohio State raise awareness and increase education about hazing. Our objective is to educate, empower and stand up against hazing in all forms to promote a positive change in our college community.
Campus Events
Monday, September 23 - Leave No Trace of Hazing | Location: South Oval/Oval | Time: 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- We encourage students to use sidewalk chalk to create anti-hazing slogans and messages on walkways around campus. This is to create a visually impactful and interactive display that fosters campus-wide awareness about the dangers of hazing, encourages dialogue, and reinforces a culture of respect and inclusivity. You can use messages such as Buckeyes Against Hazing, Hazing Has No Home Here, Together Against Hazing, Empower with Kindness, Your Org Name Against Hazing, etc. Students and student organizations can participate anytime from 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Student Organizations who participate in this event will be entered in a drawing for a $250 member development grant. For entry, you must take a picture of the messages or slogan with your organization name when chalking and send it to lindsey.274@osu.edu. Remember their policies regarding chalking on campus. To review those policies, CLICK HERE.
- There will a table set-up on the West Plaza of the Ohio Union to grab chalk and other necessities.
