The Ohio State University is committed to proactive and prevention strategies that reduce harm and foster a supportive environment for all members of the university community. Through a variety of variety of engagement opportunities, students, advisors, and faculty and staff can learn to recognize, prevent, and respond to hazing and other forms of group-related risk. 

Risk Reduction Consultations

Schedule a risk consultation if you are a student, staff, or faculty member needing support generating ideas for safer, healthier practices, or have questions about risk-related topics such as hazing. These appointments are scheduled directly with our Risk Reduction Specialist.

Request a Risk Reduction Workshop

Interactive workshops are available by request and can be customized to fit your group's needs. Whether you're looking to raise awareness, spark conversation, or strengthen your group's culture, we'll work with you to create a meaningful learning experience. These sessions explore topics such as:

  • Risk Management 101
  • Hazing Prevention and Education
  • Risk recognition and mitigation
  • Bystander Intervention

National Hazing Prevention Week 

Each September, The Ohio State University participates in National Hazing Prevention Week to increase awareness, encourage action, and build safer community. Events may include:

  • Community engagement events
  • Workshops and trainings
  • Educational tabling and giveaways
  • Resource promotion and awareness campaigns
