Serving as a key staff member of the Student Life Student Activities team, the Student Organization Risk Reduction Specialist will provide leadership for well-being and safety education and training for student organizations and other student groups. The Specialist will consult with student organizations and other student groups in identifying university resources to design, create, implement and maintain comprehensive education efforts that will assist student organization leaders, advisors, consultants, volunteers, and coaches in areas including but not limited to hazing education, sexual misconduct prevention, bystander intervention, alcohol and other drug abuse prevention, mental health, and other well-being initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, collaborating with campus colleagues to create and deliver required education for student organization members and advisors around hazing prevention and general risk reduction topics. The Specialist will also provide leadership for campus-wide hazing prevention and well-being work in support of a healthy campus community.
